Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of GymCoach (the "Service"), operated by GymCoach ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

GymCoach connects coaches and athletes: coaches build and assign training programs, and athletes log workouts against them, with messaging and progress tracking in between. The Service is available on web, iOS, and Android.

2. Accounts and roles

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
• Accounts are either coach or athlete. Athletes join a coach's roster using that coach's invite code.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Athlete accounts are free. Coach accounts include a free tier (up to 3 athletes) and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business, Unlimited) with higher athlete limits, billed monthly or annually.
• Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Billing, or a web payment provider, depending on where you subscribe, and managed via RevenueCat.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your app store account settings (iOS/Android) or your account settings (web); you'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled according to the policy of the platform you subscribed through (Apple, Google, or our payment provider) — we don't independently process refunds outside those channels.
• We may change pricing or plan limits; we'll give notice before changes affect an active subscription.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the training programs, workout data, notes, and messages you create in GymCoach ("your content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service — for example, showing an athlete's logged workouts to their coach.

You're responsible for your content and for having the right to share it (e.g. a coach assigning a program they created).

GymCoach is a training-logging tool, not a medical device or service, and doesn't provide medical advice. Consult a physician before starting a new training program, especially if you have an existing health condition. Use RPE, weights, and program guidance at your own judgment and risk.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to: violate any law; harass, abuse, or harm another user; upload malicious code; attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization; or reverse-engineer or scrape the Service outside normal use.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; see our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled afterward.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GymCoach is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
